Section 6
Work, Duties and Powers of the Board
: The work, duties and powers of the Board shall be as follows:-
(a) Acting as a representative of any person, organization or agency with the approval of the Government of Nepal or the approval of the Government of Nepal in order to do any transaction related to tourism business.
(b) In relation to the establishment, improvement, development, expansion, promotion and protection of tourism business, to formulate and implement necessary programs in relation to infrastructure development, tourism services, expansion of facilities, manpower development and environmental protection of tourism places.
(c) Develop Nepal as an attractive tourist destination by engaging in the formulation of programs to increase facilities for tourists.
(d) To coordinate the activities of persons, institutions or agencies that provide services to tourists.
(e) Prepare the necessary technical and financial bases for the development and expansion of the tourism business and implement the programs related to tourism development accordingly.
(f) To encourage and enable the participation of the private sector in various activities related to tourism to the maximum extent in order to develop, expand and promote the tourism business.
(g) Using the existing physical infrastructure related to tourism in a systematic and effective manner, encouraging the private sector to show tourists the religious and cultural places of the country, the high snow ranges and scenic beauty.
(h) Developing Nepal as an adventure and attractive tourism center and carrying out water, land and air based recreational and adventure tourism activities without adversely affecting the original culture and traditions of Nepal …………. To conduct, conduct and encourage the private sector to conduct such adventure tourism related activities in various parts of (i) International Meetings, Conferences, Trade Fairs, etcConduct activities related to cultural and youth festivals, sports competitions and other creative and promotional tourism products and encourage the private sector to conduct such activities.
(j) To encourage the participation of the local community in various activities related to the protection of places of historical importance and monasteries, temples and monasteries.
(k) Strengthening the tourism infrastructure and facilities while developing new tourist spots, especially giving priority to the development of rural tourist spots and motivating the local rural communities to conduct various programs of rural tourism development.
(l) mobilizing investment in infrastructure construction and development of new tourism places.
(D) In order to develop religious tourism by protecting and promoting religious places of pilgrimage, to expand facilities so that tourists are more attracted to places of religious and cultural importance, and to develop such places as international religious centers.

(i) To coordinate with the friendly countries and increase the activities related to international tourism based on mutual benefits.
(th) Designing and implementing publicity and dissemination programs at various levels for tourism public awareness.
(d) Services provided to tourists by tourism operators and
(B) To spend the funds received from the Government of Nepal and other government-owned organizations or non-governmental organizations for tourism promotion, infrastructure development, tourism services, expansion of facilities.
(m) To provide necessary services and facilities to Nepalese tourists To assist in the development of domestic tourism through cooperation.
(Y) To buy or receive shares or securities of any organized organization involved in tourism business.
(r) to invest capital in businesses that help promote tourism.
(l) To fulfill the purpose of the board, take the approval of the Government of Nepal and enter into agreements with foreign or international organizations.
(f) To approve the budget necessary to conduct the annual program of the Board.
(q) To carry out other necessary works related to the development, expansion and promotion of tourism business.
